Not long after starting at Heart of the Forest
School, Molly contacted Mr Child and discussed
bringing her class (and Merlin) to The Dean
Academy to take part in some Science tasks,

allowing her pupils to explore a mainstream
setting. Molly said ‘Mr Child and the team at The
Dean Academy were incredibly supportive and
able to make the necessary adaptations to allow a
group of pupils with additional needs to access
learning at The Dean Academy and to explore
Science in a meaningful way. It was a pleasure to be welcomed back to the school, no longer a
pupil, but now as a teacher.”

Mr Child commented “It made me really proud to have Molly in school and to see how much
she has succeeded in achieving her goals. It’s great that she continues to feel a part of our
school community.”

Molly added “My class had such a good time at The Dean Academy and I would definitely like
to continue the connection between our two schools, so hopefully they will see more of our
pupils when we visit in the future.”
